The beginning of the consultation process and discussion in this document suggest that there are already emerging priorities for agencies in Yorkshire and Humberside, which are underlined by new policies and drivers.
The consultation process will clarify views, but currently the following issues appear important:

- Getting the right balance between dedicated and mainstream services
-The role of CMHTs and other Community Providers.
-‘High harm’ offenders (Tier 5)
-Vulnerable women with complex needs (Tier 4)
-The role of probation.
-Service users
-The role of services and the future
-Developing the workforce

There are 10 Key priorities set out for developing PD services in the Yorkshire and Humber region.  A discussion forum is being set up to explore the views and impact of this strategy.
