Training

The Pathway development service currently provides basic Personality disorder awareness training in a multi agency context, in relation to BPD and ASPD. The framework for this delivery training is
l To provide an overview of legislative information in relation to Personality Disorder
l To offer a psychological understanding of BPD and ASPD
l To enable attendees to reflect upon their own practise in relation to PD
l To engage service users in training delivery in order to sustain a genuine perspective of the service users experiences of the diagnosis and how engaging with services has shaped, influenced and impacted upon their lives.
l To sign post attendees to other useful training/resources/networks.
The above training is free of charge, for further information about accessing the awareness training please contact the Training Co-ordinator at PDS.
Further to the above, the PDS team are currently engaged in the ongoing KUF programme to be further developed as KUF trainers across the region.

l Cycle of rejection a practical reality
l Raise awareness and shift attitudes
l Apply skills and knowledge to make a real difference
l Build on service user experiences. Ensure informed and responsive leadership and management
l Improve interagency and inter-professional collaboration
The KUF is provided at awareness, undergraduate and post graduate level. For further information about the KUF - see the link on this site.
